Evaluation Feedback: 16/20

A very detailed evaluation yet very enjoyable to listen to. Great work Alex.WWW:
There is excellent understanding of the forms and conventions used in the productions.
There is excellent understanding of the role and use of new media in various stages of the production.
There is excellent understanding of the combination of main product and ancillary texts.
There is excellent understanding of the significance of audience feedback.
There is good skill in choice of form in which to present the evaluation.
There is excellent ability to communicate.
There is good use of digital technology or ICT in the evaluation.

EBI:

Perhaps the editing in the evaluation could be more skilful? There are variations in sound when the questions are being asked. I would like to see what you're taking about, when you're talking about it instead of seeing the whole film. For example when you're talking about audience feedback I'd like to see shots of the vimeo screen being scrolled, also a couple of photos from the RAFTAs when you get your award. When you talk about your poster and radio and ad I'd like to see and hear them and so on....

Grade for Production work: 52/60

Film:

WWW:
I and the whole of the RAFTAS audience loved your film, the simple concept, the camera work and the editing. You have demonstrated excellence in your skills and the use and combination of technical elements. Well done.

EBI:
The start is a little slow and perhaps a re-shoot now that you've completed the rest would fit better?

37/40

Poster:
Excellent, great idea. Really gets the message across and very striking.

10/10

Radio advert:
Good idea but poor quality. Needs to be redone with perhaps more emphasis on the 'jump' sounds at ceratin points. Needs more strength in your voice.

5/10

Grading for planning: 18/20

WWW:
The planning of this project was very carefully considered from start to finish. You struggled with direction at first but once you gained confidence in your idea you were off! All your planning is excellent and you have very carefully considered the key concepts.

EBI:
I would like you to print out your proposal and your target audience entries so I can go over a couple of points with you - important to address now because they will feature in your evaluation and your exam question. with these addressed you can bank full points for planning.
Annotate film shots

Excellent.

My evaluation will be in the format of a podcast where i will be interviewed where i will be answering questions like:

What ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

What was your audience feedback like?

How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Images from Film

This is the opening shot of the scene change to Imax. It shows one of the key training places for free runners and parkourists.

Another shot from the Imax scenes. It shows myself doing a move called a flag. i like the silhouette effect made through the camera angle and position.

Another silhouette shot in the Orpington area. I thought about using this as the background image for my poster, but decided against it instead opting for the vector imagery.

Wow!

This looks great Alex, you've worked so hard! I'd like to hear your radio advert - can you upload it to the blog?
I think it would also be cool if you could put a couple of print screens up from your own footage and make a few notes on the shots, just to show them off because the colours were so lovely.

Grading to follow....
